The King’s return draws near…
Universal Orlando have released the first teaser for their new King Kong attraction. Earlier today, the resort’s official Twitter account posted an image depicting an ocean with a hint of the iconic Skull Island rock formations peering through the mist. On it, a single line of text reads: “SOMETHING HUGE IS ON THE HORIZON.” The long-rumored attraction was first mentioned by Comcast during an earnings call back in February, but this is the first image and teaser that Universal Orlando have made public.

An attraction based on Peter Jackson’s King Kong film is currently featured on the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood. No details have been released yet regarding the Orlando attraction, although it is predicted to see a Spring or Summer 2016 opening.

UPDATE: Universal Orlando sent out another tweet, and we have now learned that they will be revealing more about this upcoming attraction tomorrow, May 6, at 11 AM EDT!
